Headband to tight? Get tension headaches easily? Have a TWA and need something to hold your hair back with? Come closer, closer…I have just the thing to help you out. This is the one thing I love to use over the other items. I have purchased many headbands in the past, some stretch so easily, then the others you stretch so much the white sticky stuff comes out and has to be trashed. Does that happen to you or is it just me?

I have 3 words for you, KNEE HIGH STOCKING. I have used this since I have gone natural. I like that it transforms with your hair styles. If I want it to function as a headband I can stretch it. If I need to for a high bun, I can wash it and it will shrink back to size to be used for the high bun. I can double tie it and if it is too tight easily adjust to my comfort level. I try to be as thrifty as possible and this trick just does that for me. I love it because it’s not expensive to buy the stocking, it can be cheap and I do not have to replace as frequently as my other headbands.

I will tell you, it might dry out your hair so make sure you moisturize before using it. I love that it holds well and doesn’t slip. The stocking as pretty decent grip no matter what state my hair is in.  You don’t have to struggle to squeeze your puff into predetermined hair tie sizes.

Who would have thought stockings are hair accessory? Now you know my hair secret! Tell me have you tried a knee-high stocking before? Have you ever repurposed something for a great hair style? Would you like to see a video demonstration? Let me know in the comments.
